All Means All: Staying Above the Fray and Supporting LGBTQ Students

19 January
Time:  3:15 pm - 4:30 pm
Location:  Great Lakes IV (Lower Level)

All of our students are our students. All of them deserve safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments. This session will cover how to support our LGBTQ students while also dealing with pressure to treat LGBTQ kids differently. From knowing what to do when a student desires to no longer be called by their 'dead' name to restroom access, schools and school leaders must find ways to navigate needs and rights of LGBTQ kids while facing sometimes harsh and unfair scrutiny from outside school walls.
