Dr. Kimberly Martin is the current Coordinator for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Royal Oak Schools. Dr. Martin is an educator with over 25 years in higher education and 10 years concentrating on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She also serves on the Oakland Schools JEDI Council and is leading the development of a district-wide DEI council.

Come join us for an informational session where we will share our journey, key goals and initiatives, deep-learning experiences, and commitments made to the children and families of our community and district.

Suggested ways to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ways to collaborate, learn from and get help from other organizations.
Share systemic changes that help ensure the work will continue (it’s never “done”)

Engaging teacher leaders at the building level in DEI work to best support students.
