Michael Pascoe
Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Michael Pascoe has been in education for over 20 years working mainly in large urban school districts such as Inglewood, CA, Detroit and Grand Rapids, MI. He currently is in his sixth year as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment overseeing building leadership, athletics, and school safety in Portage Public Schools. Prior to taking his role in PPS, he served the Grand Rapids Public Schools for over a decade with the the last six years serving as Principal of City High School which offered both the Middle Years and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programs. He also worked for the IB Education Network as a site visitor across the country for IB schools seeking authorization or in need of evaluation. During his tenure as Principal, City High Middle was ranked the number one high school in Michigan and he earned the GVSU Outstanding Alumni Administrator award. He has a Masters in Educational Administration from MSU, an Educational Specialist from GVSU, and earned his Doctorate (Ph.D) from WMU in Educational Leadership.
