Jeff Crouse is currently serving as a School Health Insurance Specialist with SET SEG after recently retiring from a 25 year career in education. Jeff retired from the Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District, where he spent the last 22 years in the roles of Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Superintendent, and the past seven years as Superintendent. Jeff is a retired member of MASA and MSBO. Jeff has been a lifelong learner with a Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University, an MBA from Western Michigan University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. He has had the pleasure to serve on many state-wide leadership boards including as President of the Michigan School Business Officials, Chairman of the Michigan Liquid Asset Fund, Co-Chairman of the Michigan Retirement Investment Consortium, Chairman of Set Inc. Board of Directors, Chairman of SISSA Board of Director, and served as a Trustee appointed by Governor Whitmer on the Michigan Public School Employee Retirement System Board of Directors. Jeff has presented at dozens of MSBO, MASA, MNA, MASB, MAISA, ASBO, and MSPRA conferences in the areas of Business Services, Employee Wellness, Employee 403b Investing, Board & Superintendent Relationships, and Running Successful Millage Elections to name a few. Jeff also worked several years as an adjunct professor for both Central Michigan University and Grand Valley State University Schools of Education teaching masters degree school finance courses.
