Matt McMahon

MiSecure Director

Matt McMahon has spent more then 30 years in Michigan education, most recently as the Associate Superintendent for Technology at Gratiot-Isabella RESD.  During that time he established their technology department supporting schools in Gratiot and Isabella counties.  He was also the director for the MMNet fiber-optic network which connected districts, libraries and municipalities throughout Central Michigan.  His leadership and advocacy for cybersecurity led to his chairing of MiSecure, which is a task force of METL (Michigan Educational Technology Leaders).  Today, Matt serves as the Director of the MiSecure Operations Center which was established in the 23-24 State of Michigan budget.

District leaders will learn about K12 cyber security and connectivity activities currently underway, including funding available for all. MiSecure and SEN (Statewide Education Network) will share resources explaining the programs and help each district understand how they may participate.
